5 Top Picks for Best Asian Restaurants in Westchester County
Asian food is my favorite type of cuisine. It’s hot, spicy and it never fails to hit the spot. Granted, there are good and bad Asian restaurants out there – some that blow your mind and leave you wanting for more, some that are worth considering giving a second shot for various reasons, and some that are just plain ‘Meh.’ I’ve tried many in Westchester County and so here are my top 5 picks for best Asian restaurants in this county. And by the way, if you’re a foodie like me, download the Atmosfy app and follow me @onebiteandyourehuqd (that’s a play on my name in case you’re wondering why it’s spelled that way…so naturally, pun intended)!
Neung Thai Kitchen - Ardsley
I live in Ardsley, so I’ve been watching and waiting for a Thai restaurant to finally take this spot. Honestly, the outside of the building isn’t really the greatest draw, but there’s parking right outside the restaurant and so we thought we’d give it a shot.
The inside is really cute! And the food and service was phenomenal. I highly recommend trying the mango salad and the fish filet with tamarind sauce. It’s crispy, delicious and leaves you wanting for more! Bon Appetit!

Buddha Asian Bistro - Dobbs Ferry
I LOVE this place! The ambience is classy, stylish and grand to say the least. There’s a large Buddha statue right in the center of the room and several sizeable statues all around. The service is great and they know me well!
Recently they changed their menu to add the Cajun Seafood Hotpots and so this has now become my new favorite! I always get the ½ lb Shrimp & Crab Hotpot with the special sauce (which is a blend of their four famous sauces) and I ask for it extra spicy! Comes with potato and corn all deliciously soaked in their yummy sauce and served in a plastic bag! Hits the spot every time! Enjoy! Oh, and there’s free parking all around so it’s a total win win!

Fatt Root - Pleasantville
Now don’t get me started. My husband and I go to Fatt Root all the time. And I mean All.The.Time. This Asian inspired Street Food & Cocktails restaurant has decor that is modern yet relaxed and there are plenty of menu items to choose from. Try their yummy kale dumplings, extensive poke items, hamachi appetizer, and if you like it spicy (like me), I recommend trying their grilled octopus. It really is an excellent find in downtown Pleasantville!
Location: 11 Wheeler Ave, Pleasantville, NY
Vietnam's Central - Scarsdale
This is the only Vietnamese place this side of town that I care to mention. Being a huge fan of soups,I love Pho (pronounced “fuh”), and this place has the fake meats which are great for those that like to dabble in a bit of faux beef, like me! Call me weird, but I like my soup clear and my noodles on the side. I guess what I’m trying to say is that they are extremely accommodating and they won’t get offended if you make strange requests like me!

Sakura Garden Japanese Cuisine - Hastings on Hudson
This place seriously hits the spot every time. It’s located right in downtown Hastings, a cute little village in the southwestern part of the town of Greenburgh. We love going to Sakura as the food is phenomenal, extremely well presented and the waitresses are really nice! It’s the perfect place to celebrate a birthday and if you do decide to celebrate here, be sure to mention whose birthday it is so you can experience their complimentary Japanese birthday surprise! Enjoy!
